I was born and raised in Singapore with parents from Europe. I left Singapore to go to Keele University in England, where I did a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, and then a Masters of Science in Database Engineering. After university, I did my year of compulsory military service in French Guyana. I worked for a software company in Sophia Antipolis in France for four years, and then moved to Florida. I learned to ride motorcycles in Florida around 2000 and bought my first bike, a Kawasaki Ninja 750 R, from a guy from work who wanted a change in bikes. In late 2010 I lent the Ninja 750 to a friend who liked to fix motorcycles, since it was giving me pretty regular problems, but he disappeared with it and I have yet to find him again! I first heard about Brammo in March 2011, and decided to buy an Empulse as soon as it would be available. In March 2012 I bought a Kawasaki Ninja 500 R to get some riding practice in preparation of owning an Empulse.
